How It Works

On April 21, 2016, the world lost Prince Rogers Nelson. Ten years later, the a music blog community is celebrating his legacy by building a community-curated Top 20 of his greatest songs.

Browse the full Prince catalogue, pick your most loved songs, share your tribute with the world, and see what the community crowns as the ultimate Prince selection.

1. 1Go to the home page — the full Prince catalogue is listed there.
2. 2Click Pick next to any song to add it to your tribute.
3. 3You can choose up to 20 songs. The progress bar at the top tracks your selection.
4. 4Click Remove to take a song off your list.
5. 5Your picks are saved automatically as you go.

You can also pick directly from the Results page or from other fans' shared tributes.

• Click any song title to open a quick YouTube preview in a modal.
• Use the Play My Top N button (on the home page or Your Tribute page) to open the full YouTube player and listen to your picks back-to-back.
• The Play All button on the home page lets you listen to the entire Prince catalogue without leaving the site.

• Click My Tribute in the navigation to see your chosen songs ranked.
• Use the Copy button to get a shareable link to your tribute.
• Send the link to friends — they can view your picks, listen, and even borrow songs for their own tribute.
• You can also change your display name from this page so your tribute shows your identity.

• Click Fan Tributes to browse Top 20s shared by other fans.
• Click View Tribute to see someone's full selection.
• Heart icons show which songs you have in common with the tribute owner.
• You can add songs from their tribute directly to your own picks.

• Click Dearly Beloved to see the community's collective picks, sorted by popularity.
• Each song shows how many fans have chosen it across all tributes.
• You can add or remove songs directly from this page.
• Heart icons highlight songs you've already chosen.

You can participate anonymously, but a free account gives you extra benefits:

• Cross-device sync — access your picks from any browser or device.
• Permanent history — your picks are tied to your account, not your browser.
• Display name — set a name that appears on your shared tribute.
• Suggest songs — logged-in users can submit YouTube links to add missing Prince songs.

• Your identity is stored in your browser — no account needed to participate.
• If you switch browsers, devices, or clear your cache, you will lose access to your anonymous picks.
